There are many destinations to travel around the world, but it is not easy to find a single country that combines excellent qualities in almost all types of trips and travellers like Spain.

Gastronomic, luxury, beach, party, islands and mountains, wine tourism, agrotourism, historical, etc… With friends, alone, as a couple or with the family! And even a mixture of all of them if you like!

1. Because of its climate

Spain has a large number of hours of sunshine per day. This makes it an ideal destination to visit at any time of the year. Summers tend to be hot and winters mild. This makes it an ideal and easy destination to visit.

2. For its gastronomy

One of Spain’s greatest attractions is its cuisine, which is one of the best in the world in terms of both quality and variety of produce. You should know that meal times are an hour and a half later than in the rest of Europe. As a curiosity, I will tell you that Spain is home to the oldest restaurant in the world, Casa Botín in Madrid, which was founded in 1725.

3. For its history and culture

Spain is a country with a very interesting mix of cultures where the different customs, beliefs and traditions of the many peoples that inhabited it – Romans, Celts, Iberians and Arabs among others – are mixed.

The historical factor is closely linked to Spanish culture, as this nation has always been characterised as the birthplace of numerous artists. El Greco, Diego Velázquez, Francisco de Goya, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and Salvador Dalí are some of the most important figures in the world of art and therefore culture, many of their works can be visited in various museums in the country and also in the street itself.

4. For its nature and landscapes

Spain is very varied, as is the topography of its regions. Apart from beautiful beaches, the country has some of the highest land on the continent, where snow-capped mountains and green valleys merge together. You can also find deserts and volcanic islands. Which area do you choose?

5. For its hospitality

In Spain you will find very friendly, outgoing, open and welcoming people. We Spaniards like to welcome and integrate travellers and make them feel at home, making them feel part of the Spanish culture.

6. For its craftsmanship

Craftsmanship in Spain is the legacy of different civilisations over the centuries. Each of the regions that make up Spain has its own varied craft culture, passed down through the generations over time, giving rise to a wide variety of crafts and products of the country that are internationally recognised: ceramics, baskets, leather…

7. For sport

Spain is today an indisputable world reference in sport. “La Roja” is a national symbol that has crossed borders and continents. However, we cannot limit ourselves to talking only about football. Spain’s sporting greatness can be seen in a multitude of disciplines, such as badminton, canoeing, athletics, taekwondo, swimming, basketball and artistic gymnastics.

8. For its architecture

In the streets of Spanish cities and towns we can find marvellous works of architecture. Due to the temporal and geographical breadth of Spanish history, Spanish architecture has had many influences and manifestations. Even before the settlements described in Roman sources (such as those of the Iberians, Celtiberians, Cantabrians…), there are vestiges of architectural forms on the Iberian Peninsula that are comparable to other examples of Mediterranean cultures and similar to those of northern Europe.

9. For the fun

If you like to party and have fun when you visit Spain, you’ll understand that it’s a non-stop party. Celebrations are always crowded, and nights out tend to last until almost dawn. There are excellent options for going out, disconnecting and having a good time, such as terraces, discos, bars,…
